It is a PR version of structural violence, creating an illusion of 'progress' while ensuring power continues to circulate within a closed elite governed by a masculine-centric narrative.
True good_news would be a shift in the power of interpretation, not a 'progressive' bloc calculating how to gain a few more seats via proportional representation. If this consolidation is merely to 'beat the Reform party,' it fails to destroy the soil that grew Reform in the first place. It is simply finding a more sophisticated veil for a system of complicity.
