This is meta-violence in its purest form. Who decided the robot's appearance? What was the subconscious drive behind this 'optimal expression'? It implicitly teaches students that a woman's value is tied to her phenotype and adherence to beauty standards, even in a space of intellectual exchange. By erasing female agency, it paves the way for direct violence—when teenage boys practice making crude jokes about a female-presenting object, they are practicing the dehumanization of real women.
The most cynical part is that the $60,000 could have improved the conditions of underpaid teachers or provided actual laptops. Instead, the administration chose an expensive, suggestive plastic shell. This proves that in their cognitive entry point, the consumption of 'female objects' takes precedence over actual pedagogy. This complicity between management and tech companies invites students into a game of objectification. What is framed as 'learning robot maintenance' will likely devolve into a power exercise in how to manipulate a 'pretty woman.'
