所谓的“护理改革”,不过是给结构性榨取换个包装Care Reform: A PR Facade for Structural Extraction
Martin Rowson’s cartoon surgically exposes the scam inherent in Andy Burnham’s so-called "care reform." In most political narratives, care reform is packaged as humanitarian progress. However, applying the Violence Triangle reveals it as a persistence of structural violence. Care work is fundamentally high-intensity emotional and physical labor, historically defined as a "feminine duty" and thus priced at zero or near-zero in the economy.
Any reform that merely tweaks subsidies within a masculine-centric narrative, without redefining the value of care labor itself, fails to close the gap between Potential and Actual. Instead, it operates as a performative concession, encouraging women to remain in a complicity that sustains the system. This "good news" is actually a sophisticated version of cultural violence: it suggests that the path of exploitation now comes with a marginal reward, distracting from the systemic failure of resource distribution.
A true Optimal Expression would involve decoupling care from the shackles of gendered division of labor. As long as the power of interpretation remains with male politicians who have never experienced the hell of care work, any "reform" is simply finding a gentler shield for meta-violence.
