This is a classic case of weaponized expression. By proactively defining the narrative as 'I am willing to be taxed,' the wealthy are attempting to seize the interpretation of 'justice.' They shift their identity from passive exploiters to active distributors. Once this narrative is accepted, it completes the transformation from structural violence to cultural violence: the public stops discussing systemic inequality and starts feeling grateful for the charity of a few 'kind' millionaires.
Who are the complicit? The public and politicians cheering this 'awakening' in the media. They have bought into the scam that inequality vanishes as long as the rich are 'voluntary.' A true structural victory would be the mandatory redistribution of wealth through legislation, not the performative generosity of celebrities via open letters. This request to be taxed is simply applying a fresh coat of paint to a capital power structure still dominated by a masculine-centric narrative.
