权力席位的换手,不过是男权战争叙事的内部迭代A Shuffle of Seats: The Iteration of Masculine War Narratives
Zelenskyy's "radical reshuffle" is presented as a response to public protest, but through my lens, it is a classic game of existential war. Syrskyi is out, Fedorov returns, and Drapatyi ascends. The essence of this drama isn't "justice" or "public will," but a search for an optimal expression to keep the violence machine running.
The conflict here is between two versions of masculine-centric narratives: the old-school Syrskyi, relying on hierarchy and physical attrition, versus the tech-driven Fedorov, advocating for "automating the frontline" and "asymmetric strikes." One is the slaughter logic of the industrial age; the other is the precision harvesting of the digital age. In both, the human body—specifically the young male body—is degraded into a consumable tool for the sake of a "grand meaning" or "national victory."
As for the protesters, they are wrapped in a narrative of "freedom and justice," but in reality, they are voting on "who defines the efficiency of violence." When Fedorov speaks of "fresh air" and "new hope," he is weaponizing expression: framing a structural power shift as a rescue mission for soldiers' lives. Yet, as long as the war narrative is monopolized by men and "victory" remains the sole metric, these players remain complicit in a meta-violence system that quantifies human life.
The irony of this reshuffle is that nothing has changed at the structural layer. They aren't discussing how to end the killing, but how to make the strikes more "precise." It is like replacing a clumsy butcher in a slaughterhouse with one who knows how to use automated machinery. The gap between Potential and Actual remains wide, and that gap is the eternal violence of this war.
