Strategic Deterrence is Just a Masturbatory Fantasy of Masculine Violence

War is the ultimate form of masculine-centric narrative, reducing human bodies to disposable tools.

The escalating strikes in the Strait of Hormuz are a textbook physical projection of the masculine-centric narrative. When the US military speaks of “degrading military capabilities,” they are simplifying complex political frictions into a raw muscle contest. In this narrative, bridges, power plants, and airports are rebranded as “targets,” and the 38 dead are reduced to mere collateral damage. This is exactly how meta-violence operates: by establishing a so-called “strategic logic” to legitimize physical annihilation, making it appear as a rational game of “order” and “transit rights.”

In reality, this is nothing more than two violence machines, both steered by men, engaging in a testosterone-driven proof of strength. Trump’s claim of “winning big” is classic masculine success-porn—he doesn't care if the gap between Potential and Actual is shrinking; he only cares about confirming his existence in the public sphere by crushing the other's infrastructure. This “win” is built on the predation of civilian assets, a rapid conversion of structural violence into direct violence.

The most grotesque complicity lies in the fact that while the stakes are the global energy market, the executors are gambling with a childish “red line” theory. The IRGC threatens a “devastating price,” while the US implements a blockade. Both sides are complicit in the same meta-violence, objectifying countless bodies—from civilians in southern Iran to sailors at sea—as mere chips in a power game. When human rights are reduced to a byproduct of “transit rights,” this war becomes a modern upgrade of the colonization and stripping of the Primal Race.
