There is a clear mechanism of complicity here: the party gerontocrats, by maintaining a closed power system, induced a desperate appetite for 'new blood' among voters. This appetite was weaponized, leading people to collectively conspire in their subconscious to ignore structural violence in exchange for a perceived 'optimal expression'—a winning candidate.
